Wise up to the wonders of Samoa in 2012 and you could be on your way to see the destination for yourself.
This year the nation marks its 50th anniversary of Independence and has a lively calendar of events planned. 2012 will also see the launch of Virgin Samoa (www.virginsamoa.com) which will operate flights to the destination from Auckland, Sydney and Brisbane.
